We invite you to visit the spiritual shrine of Ukraine-Rus, the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. This ancient holy monastery is called the Russian Jerusalem, the Ukrainian Vatican, and Orthodox Mecca. Pilgrims from many countries came here on foot to be purified from sins and to receive a blessing. Even kings left their carriages and entered the holy gates only on foot. It is believed that even staying within these walls itself cleanses and gives enlightenment. Here is the highest part of the historical Kiev.
You can admire the unique architectural ensemble of the Kiev Lavra, see the legendary golden domes of 20 temples and hear the crystal bells ringing. In the caves of Lavra you can touch the imperishable relics of ancient hermits, which give healing and help in all kinds of things.
The museums of Lavra will give you the opportunity to get acquainted with the material and spiritual culture of Ukraine throughout its thousands of years of history. You will visit the Museum of Historical Treasures of Ukraine, where you will see the legendary Scythian gold, you will admire Ukrainian folk art products in the Museum of Decorative Arts, and you can even see a shod flea at the exhibition of micro-miniatures by Nikolay Syadristy.
At the end of the tour, we will walk through the Park of Eternal Glory, learn more about the famine of Ukrainians in Soviet times and visit one of the most famous historical places in Kyiv, Askold's grave.
